The Night Before PAWmas
Daisy Mae, a shih-poo, and Lilly Rose, a miniature schnauzer, are precocious and curious dogs looking for rest in anticipation of PAWmas. On the fateful night before, Daisy Mae is roused from her sleep by a mouse’s antics. As she looks high and low for the mischievous mouse, she attempts to get her sissy to join her in her hunt, but Lilly Rose would rather sleep.
In the middle of Daisy Mae’s hunt for the mouse and Lilly Rose’s quest for sleep, they both encounter a magical and amazing creature! Santa PAWS appears from the chimney with toys, treats, and advice for both Daisy Mae and Lilly Rose.

About the Author
As a lifelong storyteller, Timothy Hunter Mathews draws magic from everyday encounters and believes that kindness and empathy are the greatest gifts we can give. His work as a Care Minister and leader of an employee support group reflects his passion for lifting others up.
Through his writing, Timothy invites readers to see the world through a lens of compassion, encouraging all of us to add kindness to the way we think, speak, and act. He hopes this story becomes a cherished tradition that spreads joy and reminds us to sparkle with kindness.
Timothy is driven by his Christ-centered calling to build a more compassionate world—one word at a time. He invites readers of all ages to join his Kindness Challenge: to choose empathy, offer grace, and be kind every day.
By day, Timothy is an Instructional Designer, an Allyship ERG creator, and a Congregational Care Minister. By night he brings to life stories that reflect the kindness he hopes to see more of in the world.
Born in Connecticut, he’s lived across the country: from Massachusetts to Kansas, New York to Arizona. He has collected inspiration and connections along the way. He now resides in Arizona with his wife Laura and their beloved Shih-Poo, Daisy Mae, and the cherished memory of Lilly Rose, their miniature schnauzer rescue, who both star in his heartfelt tales.
